Our Ubuntu bowls and Women Of Africa bowls celebrate the coming together of African people to build a better tomorrow.
“UMUNTU ngumuntu ngabantu”
The word UBUNTU means “the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity.” “I am what I am because of who we all are” In Africa, the definition of an individual is community-based and not individualist. The Ubuntu bowls with their women holding hands in a spirit of Ubuntu, represent this philosophy.
The Women of Africa range depicts the strong women of Southern Africa who proudly wear their traditional headgear and tribal costumes, and whom we have captured in clay for posterity as many of these outfits are no longer seen.
