Glazed inside it will not leak and there is cork on the underside to prevent scratches on your table.  The two African figures on the vase are holding hands while facing the future boldly.  In Africa, the definition of an individual is community-based and not individualist. The Ubuntu vases with their women holding hands in a spirit of Ubuntu, represent this philosophy.
