The Ubuntu Bowls are the signature product of Zizamele Ceramics. The African version of the friendship bowl, this darling little bowl makes the perfect hostess gift. Pair it with chocolates, nuts or soap or simply gift it to yourself.  

Each of these bowls is wheel thrown from stoneware clay with skill and care then painted with patterns in striking black glaze, the two figures face one another as if in joyful conversation. They wear their traditional headscarves and have their babies tied to their backs in typical African fashion. 

 Ubuntu means “I am what I am because of who we all are."   In Africa, the definition of an individual is community-based and not individualist. Zizamele's Ubuntu pieces represent this philosophy.
