3Lady Ubuntu Bowl Bright on White

The Ubuntu Bolws are the signature product of Zizamele Ceramics. The African version of the friendship bowl, each of these bowls is wheel thrown from stoneware clay with skill and care.  Painted with a variety of glazes, the bowl's ladies hold hands in a spirit of unity while they face one another as if in joyful conversation. 

They wear their traditional headscarves and have their babies tied to their backs in typical African fashion. 

In Africa, the definition of an individual is community-based and not individualist. The Ubuntu bowls with their women sitting together in a spirit of Ubuntu, represent this philosophy.
